Please join us this month for coffee, pastries, and a conversation with Dr. Yue Vaughan, Assistant Professor of Event & Hospitality Management with Kansas State University, about the future of agritourism in Kansas.

Kansas Senate Bill 519 introduces a new pathway for agritourism by reducing regulatory barriers for certain farm-based experiences.

Dr. Vaughan’s discussion will explore how local farmers and business owners view the policy—whether it creates meaningful opportunities or introduces new limitations.

Your insights will help inform future policies and practical tools to better support agritourism development in Kansas communities.

Please RSVP by April 13th to [email protected]. This a totally free event!

The Non Trad Ag Coffee Talk is a Farmer-to-Farmer series which occurs every third Thursday of the month from 8:30-10 AM at Casa Somerset Bed and Breakfast, 16315 W 287th St, Paola, KS.

These informal coffee talks cover topics that are relevant to small/medium scale, non-traditional producers and folks involved in conservation and supporting the local/regional food system.

MCCD’s monthly gatherings offer an opportunity to build community and collaboration. Check out the flyer above for details. Hope to see you there! Please don't forget to RSVP to [email protected].
